Recovered Relic | Reef Cradle

Reef Cradle imagines a vessel that has found an unexpected refuge beneath the sea. Rather than being overwhelmed by its surroundings, it appears gently supported by an intricate network of coral-like growth, as though the ocean has chosen to preserve rather than erase it.
The organic framework rises around the vessel in flowing, interconnected forms that blur the distinction between structure and life. What may once have been a simple ceramic object has become inseparable from the ecosystem that now surrounds it, creating a quiet dialogue between human craftsmanship and the slow, patient rhythms of the natural world.
The softly glazed interior contrasts with the textured exterior, suggesting a hidden space protected within an ever-changing marine landscape. Handmade in stoneware and finished with layered glazes, each vessel is individually crafted and cannot be replicated exactly. Variations in surface, texture, and glaze are integral to the making process and celebrate the unique character of each piece.
