Reclaimed Vessel continues the exploration of transformation at the heart of the Abyssal Reclamation collection. A simple cylindrical vessel has become fractured and occupied by imagined marine life that slowly spreads across its surface and into its interior.

The sculpture suggests a process unfolding over decades rather than a single moment. Cracks expose hidden spaces where delicate coral-like forms have taken hold, while the vessel itself remains partially intact—a reminder of its former identity.

Unlike later works in the Pelagic Lattice collection, where growth becomes the dominant form, Reclaimed Vessel remains rooted in the object itself. It represents the point at which nature has begun to claim what was once manufactured, allowing the original form and its transformation to coexist.

The work invites viewers to consider how time alters not only material objects but also the way we value them.
