This vessel imagines a relic that has rested undisturbed on the seabed for generations, gradually becoming absorbed into a thriving marine ecosystem. The fractured ceramic form, finished in a deep matt black, contrasts with the chalk-white interior, suggesting an object once crafted by human hands but now transformed beyond recognition.
A framework of coral-like growth embraces and supports the vessel, while delicate crystalline colonies begin to emerge across its surface. These small marine formations represent another stage in the process of reclamation, hinting at the continual succession of life that follows abandonment. Rather than concealing the original object, the ocean slowly rewrites it, layer upon layer, until the distinction between vessel and reef is almost impossible to discern.
