Bloom | Pelagic Lattice

Unlike many pieces within the Abyssal Reclamation collection, Pelagic Lattice imagines a moment when very little of the original object remains visible. Rather than being concealed beneath marine growth, the vessel appears to have been almost entirely restructured, leaving behind only a delicate skeletal framework that hints at its former identity.

Its open network of interconnected forms recalls coral colonies, calcified marine structures, and the intricate architecture created by countless organisms over time. Light passes freely through the vessel, casting shifting shadows that become as much a part of the work as the ceramic itself, echoing the changing light that filters through water.

The textured blue-green surface suggests years of mineral deposits and biological growth, transforming what may once have been a solid manufactured object into something that feels entirely organic. Here, reclamation is no longer about concealment but reinvention, where nature has become the architect of an entirely new form.

Handmade in stoneware and finished with layered glazes, each vessel is individually crafted and cannot be replicated exactly. Variations in surface, texture, and glaze are integral to the making process and celebrate the unique character of each piece.
