Recovered Relic | Reclaimed Vessel

Once abandoned, the object is claimed by the sea. Over time, it surrenders its original identity and becomes something entirely new.

Reclaimed Vessel explores the imagined transformation of a discarded ceramic form through erosion, marine growth and time. Deep fractures reveal glimpses of an interior that has become occupied by coral-like structures, while the vessel itself stands as a quiet monument to continual change.

Rather than depicting decay as loss, the sculpture imagines renewal. The original object is no longer valued for its intended purpose, but for the beauty created through its gradual transformation.

Part of the Abyssal Reclamation collection, the work explores the shifting boundary between the manufactured and the natural, where time becomes the true maker.
